Free Family Fun!
8 October 2010
Join us for some ghoulish games, freaky fun and frightening food at the Second Annual Antelope Crossing Halloween Spooktacular on Saturday, October 30, 2010, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.! The Spooktacular is sponsored by the Antelope Crossing Business Association and the City of Citrus Heights and will take place at the Antelope Crossing commercial and retail plazas located at Antelope Road and Interstate 80. The opening ceremony will begin at 10:00 a.m. with remarks from Mayor Jayna Karpinski-Costa, City of Citrus Heights Councilmembers and the Citrus Heights Chamber of Commerce.
This event is fun for the whole family! Bring your children to get their faces painted free of charge courtesy of local beauty pageant winners. There will be vendor and craft booths to peruse throughout the day in addition to informational booths including the Citrus Heights Police Department's K-9 Unit, Sacramento Metro Fire Department, and Community Emergency Response Team (CERT). The Entertainment Stage will feature performances by the Woodshop Rocks bands, the Enchanted Forest magician and the Extreme Martial Arts Lion Dance.
Come dressed in your Halloween costume and win cool prizes at the costume contest at 3:00 p.m. on the Entertainment Stage. A few of this year's prizes include a 10-speed bicycle, free pizza for a year, free haircuts for a year, restaurant and merchant gift certificates. In addition, the Midway of Fun Carnival will be in operation during the Spooktacular this year! The carnival will run from Thursday, October 28th through Sunday, October 31st in the plaza south of Antelope Road.
